Who runs an SEO Company?
My name is Bob. I’ve been online since 1997, when dial-up was still awesome, and Google wasn’t even around yet. Professionally optimising websites since 2005, I have run and sold very popular blogs and online communities and have also made plenty of profits in the affiliate marketing area. For the last few years I have been working as the in-house SEO for a big multinational from Sydney, Australia, and quit that job because I found a small but very profitable start-up who are as passionate about search marketing as I am. Why should you hire an SEO Company?
Until recently I had never thought about offering my SEO knowledge and experience to the public, but after hearing one-too-many stories about local small businesses owners getting ripped off and paying heaps of their hard-earned money to get some dodgy “SEO Professional” to do important unnecessary SEO stuff, such as submitting their sites to the search engines, creating META keyword tags and checking keyword density, I actually got fed up with the money grabbing bottom-feeders who give the SEO industry a bad reputation by pretending they know what they’re doing.
Hiring people like this can result in getting your site(s) dropped from Google and your brand damaged, because they all tend to use very nasty tactics such as automated blog spam and (re)writing really low quality content which they “syndicate” to loads of low quality article directories. If you don’t mind associating your brand with poor quality & ethics, and paying someone to ruin your business that way, you probably shouldn’t be in business in the first place.
